HC order to Directorate of Mines Safety

Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy of the Telangana High Court directed the Directorate General of Mines Safety-Dhanbad, Jharkhand to consider the representation of a citizen who alleged that overburden soil from Ramagundam open cast mine located at Manthani of Peddapalli district was being illegally transported to the site of Greenfield Highway Mancherial-Warangal. 

The judge said the DG of Mines Safety should issue notices to the petitioner Putta Mahesh and all other concerned/interested parties in the matter. They should be afforded an opportunity of hearing within four weeks and pass orders in accordance with law. The judge dispensed with issuing notice to the seventh respondent in the petition Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited, executing the highway work since the order was passed without going into merits of the case.
