Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath warned Secretariat employees in Kurnool of disciplinary action for failing to resolve public grievances, after a door-to-door campaign in Ward No. 8 on Tuesday (May 12, 2026).
Mr. Bharath, who undertook the campaign as part of the ‘Our City, Our Responsibility’ initiative, expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of Secretariat employees for failing to resolve minor issues of the public. He warned that disciplinary action would be taken against them if they did not change their attitude.
During his tour, the minister described the government’s welfare schemes and development initiatives to the residents and asked about the issues they were facing. He said these field-level tours were undertaken as per the directives of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and meeting people directly was essential to understand ground realities.
Mr. Bharath said the public was expressing complete satisfaction with the government’s administration, and were happy with the administration’s performance over the past two years.
He said the government was identifying and resolving issues faced by the residents of Kurnool city, and issues across all wards were being addressed on a priority basis.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Bharath held a meeting with the TDP MP, MLAs and in-charges from Kurnool district at his residence to ensure coordination among party leaders within the district. The leaders had lunch and discussed ongoing development activities and the implementation of welfare schemes within the district.
