Some inventions are perfect from the start. In 1849, Walter Hunt revolutionised everyday convenience with the creation of the safety pin. This ingenious design features a thin metal wire bent smartly and equipped with a reliable locking mechanism for protection. For over 176 years, this invention has remained untouched, without any need for redesigns, upgrades, or innovations. Why? Because it has functioned flawlessly since day one.

We often believe that greatness lies in complexity, which we must keep tweaking, fixing, and evolving. However, sometimes, true brilliance lies in pure clarity, when form and function come together with purpose. The metaphor is true only in certain contexts. Life is dynamic, and it keeps evolving. If we fail to change according to the rhythm of the world, we become obsolete in no time. Generations have gone by, and the current generation is living with AI. To keep the pace in a world obsessed with noise and achievements, the young generation needs to ride with precision and perfection, while the old may fall back.

Everywhere, people talk about new horizons where they may be more valued and their voices may be heard. For that mad race, we tend to neglect our own existence in this world by compromising on a peaceful life and health. None of us wants to stay happy with what we have and enjoy the happiness that comes our way in the course of time. People want to project their achievements and accomplishments to the outside world, and they always look for external validation. They need to understand the stark reality that most are fake wishers and do not want to see others climbing new rungs in their professional life.

It is imperative to learn the mantra of keeping our happiness and new feats personal. We are living in a world where there is no space for values, emotions, and gratitude. We learned many virtues from our parents and tried to uphold all in our lives. Our young generation wants to excel in all fields, and the rewarding experiences they get from their chosen arena push them to feel elated. When we valued our culture above all accomplishments, this generation values their accomplishments more. Our parents taught us the art of letting go things that are beyond our control. In fact, that trait enabled us to retain our self-respect and discipline in life.

The current generation is already on the verge of losing many values and is not ready to sacrifice their ego. They give paramount significance to their own happiness and mental peace. In that race, they are not ready to accept what their elders say. Each one’s perspective differs. Our internal world view and its varied sorts of life challenges were categorically structured in such a way that untangling them was easier and genuine.

Perfection and seeking perfection are silent killers. God has created humans with umpteen problems and eventually he has given prudence as well for him to solve them. Wise humans failed to learn that beauty lies not only in perfection but also in making things perfect. That wisdom is lost now and in the rat race for unparalleled perfection, stress, anxiety, insomnia, gastrointestinal issues, and a plethora of other health concerns cropped up. Recently we heard about young professionals’ death due to cardiac arrest and the physicians cited undue stress as the main factor for the death of young people. Without adequate rest, always on edge and unable to relax, people work hard to compete and to keep pace with the never-ending professional challenges. In the pursuit to achieve excellence and to become competent, they involuntarily invite health hazards.

If we learn to remain happy, we can achieve emotional freedom and restore our inner peace. If we obsess over a future that may never occur, we will lose inner energy, strength, and a calmer frame of mind. Life is not a race; instead, embrace each moment with grace and gratitude. You might have observed how eloquently shadows fade from polished glass, like that all lows will pass and highs will definitely come. So, learn to walk with courage in your own space. Remember, the journey is yours, and hence no need to have a frantic chase.

Connect with the divine, and it makes you powerful, peaceful, and purposeful. Trust the season and the pace, your spirit will bloom with timeless grace. Embrace happiness over restlessness, mindfulness over a mindless approach, respect moral values over transient moments, accept everyone as how they are, and your mind will glow without the fear of failure!
