PM Modi in Paris LIVE updates: Modi arrives in Paris, meets members of Indian diaspora

In Paris, PM Modi is set to attend the VivaTech Summit, Europe’s largest technology and startup event, where he is expected to highlight India’s growing innovation ecosystem and technological advancements. 

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to address members of the Indian community during a special diaspora event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (June 18, 2026) shared highlights of his productive visit to Evian, where the leaders exchanged perspectives on key issues.PM Modi said in a post on X, “Sharing highlights from a productive G7 Summit in Evian, where world leaders came together and exchanged perspectives on key issues and challenges our planet faces.”

Prme Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Paris on Wednesday local time from the French commune of Evian-Les-Bains, where he attended the G7 Summit, to which India was invited as a guest country.

“...I am proud of their efforts to bring India and France closer together,” Mr. Modi said in a social media post.

“The India-France partnership is essential to the progress of our planet,” he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Paris and received a warm welcome from members of the Indian diaspora, as he underscored the importance of the India-France partnership for global progress.

The Prime Pinister arrived in Paris on Wednesday local time from the French commune of Evian-Les-Bains, where he attended the G7 Summit, to which India was invited as a guest country.

Paris marks the final leg of Modi’s two-nation tour to France and Slovakia.

“I arrived in Paris just a short while ago, where I was warmly welcomed by the Indian diaspora. I am proud of their efforts to bring India and France closer together,” Mr. Modi said in a social media post.
